Town folk and visitors are fascinated by the mysteries of our unique and historic passage – and the novelty of Dead Cat Alley has not escaped the Woodland Art Center as the organization "adopted" this little landmark in February, 2002. The intent: To improve the alley with art work and beautification projects to attract tourists and to highlight its cultural and educational significance.

In September of 2002, a Stroll Through History tour of the alley was conceived. Tour notes have evolved into an award-winning booklet, providing the curious with descriptions of over 20 historic sites and snippets about possible origins of the alley's name. We are now pleased to present this Web site.
