Town folk and visitors are fascinated
by the mysteries of our unique and historic passage
and the novelty of
Dead Cat Alley has not escaped the Woodland Art Center
as the organization "adopted" this little
landmark in February, 2002. The intent: To improve the
alley with art work and beautification projects to attract
tourists and to highlight its cultural and educational
significance.
In September of 2002, a Stroll
Through History tour of the alley was conceived. Tour
notes have evolved into an award-winning booklet, providing
the curious with descriptions of over 20 historic sites
and snippets about possible origins of the alley's name.
We are now pleased to present this Web site.
